When you make it at home, you have silt – and lot’s of it.I shake it up in a bottle to mix well and chill it in the fridge. It’s annoying to use and tedious to clean. The grinds don’t just disappear with this so you get coffee with some grit in it.It is great for getting my cold brew coffee and not having to hassle with waiting overnight. We get about two servings per session..I’m guessing the base of the machine has a magnet that spins to create the “tornado” in the carafe.I started drinking cold brew a year ago and used the overnight method. The flavor is a bit thinner than cold brew prepared the usual way, which for me is to use a 32-oz mason jar with one of those steel mesh filters that are made to fit inside a standard mason jar.The design is so sleek. It is easy to clean and is small enough to store away in cupboards easily.Once I decided to drink the coffee beans were still left in the coffee it seems like it gets overwhelmed when you pour too much coffee in it Terrible product Love this coffee maker! No need to wait a whole day to get my cold brew fix.The strength of the coffee depends on spin time; 10, 20 or 30-minutes.On rare occasion I make a genuine cold brew, but most of the time I combine, milk, chocolate or caramel syrup, vanilla, and 12 ounces of Keurig hot brewed coffee. For a casual coffee drinker….Afterwards, push the press down, and pour your agitated cold brew coffee.Setup was easy enough.

However, I just prefer my ‘filter in a jar’ fridge method for good, strong cold brew.It is terrible at doing what it was designed not to to.Sadly, easier does not translate to better, or even as good.Time needed for good cold brew is less than 40 minutes, start to finish3.However depending on the strength of your desired coffee it may take longer to brew BUT it is not like waiting 24 hours for coffee I have been cold-brewing coffee for 3 years, and occassionally augment with ‘pre-brewed’ bottles of cold-brew from the store. What if I forget? What if I want a second cup of coffee? The idea of a rapid cold brewer sounded like it would solve this, but Dorothy doesn’t really. You have to play with it to test how long to brew to your personal taste. That means I can make a cold brew without much forethought.Returned.I like it strong so I let it spin for 30 min and then rest for another 10.The only drawback is it’s a pain to clean.I just used ground coffee that I already had on hand from a local roaster.I have a regular carafe that steeps my coffee overnight.20 min to a perfect cold brew. This device claims to shorten the wait down to about 15 minutes. My old system wasn’t fancy – I would brew a pot of coffee in the evening and put it in the fridge so it would be ready to drink the next morning.
