This pot has consistently delivered the best tasting coffee – better than all restaurants we frequent, better than friends and family’s coffee… just awesomely, amazingly good.Coffee was HOT and really good. The reason I purchased this unit again was because of the original reviews about no aluminum inside the tub.We suddenly needed a full pot every day.I purchased this item based on that fact.Presto percolators really do make better coffee. We have used this 4 or 5 times a week for the last 9+ months and neither my wife nor I have any serious complaints.Coarser grounds (percolator grind.I’m going to compare the Hamilton Beach 40614 (Review — https://www.I’m so glad I did the best and hottest cups of coffee I have ever made! It took some getting used with the differences.I grew tired of Automatic drip coffee, used different brands over the years and though ready when I awoke in the morning I was not enjoying that first sip.It was just too much of an ordeal.Over the years I have tried just about every kind of brewing method from French pressing, to drip, to Turkish.I used to work in the Housewares section of the store and sold many of the same brand and model coffee maker. This served to pit the metal piece on the bottom that the percolator spindle seats down into, and metal started flaking off into the coffee. They falsely stated that this was because the pot was "immersed" in water, to justify that their denial of warranty.Haven’t used one in years and got to drink a bunch of perc coffee on vacation.Matter of fact, it’s brewing much stronger coffee than it did originally.I’ve return to using my stovetop percolator .It makes superior coffee, and it makes a full pot faster than all of the drip machines I’ve owned.

Why did they move away from these in the first place? Our first coffee maker was a Keurig that quickly became insufficient for our needs. When my second Faberware pot completely stopped working I decided to try this Presto model. We have a 5 cup programmable drip, and it’s been fine.Every time, it made a great cup of coffee whether it was as mild as a breakfast blend or as bold as Sumatran.Pros:coffee is piping hotNOT bitterbrews pretty fastCons:Biggest issue-SAFETY LACKING- NO AUTO SHUT OFFbrew strength is much weaker than a typical machinethe inside of the machine where the perc pipe sits is changing color so I wonder if its really 100% stainless as advertisedmachine makes loud popping noisesdoes not have brew delayMADE IN CHINA- no offense to anyone but why cant it be made in USA Presto.Don’t waste your money on this good-looking pot with a good name. The coffee tastes better because it is so easy to keep this unit cleaner than a classic style coffee pot which helps every pot have that top-of-the-line quality flavor.I was seeking a perculator to get away from a regular coffee maker. After owning it for only a little over a year, the cord where it attaches to the pot began making a sizzling sound. If you’re wondering about filters , there is an easy solution.I was fed up with having to replace machines that should have lasted longer and didn’t make a hot enough cup of coffee.I did not know they made ones like this one that plugs in and turns off automatically. The coffee is much hotter than any drip I’ve had over the years.I spent all morning walking around our camp site trying to find someone who had an outlet that could handle the wattage. We were shopping for a non-toxic 100% stainless steel electric percolator.I love that it has a coffee-ready indicator light.we cleaned it daily, never submersed it in water and followed all of the guidelines. We went to a French press a couple months ago simply because it was quick, cheap and easy to clean.I recently began buying fresh teas that I can brew myself but this machine is a big disappointment.I’ve been using it over a month now for everyday use, and so far no issues.

I was using filters at first but can be time consuming more than a regular Mr.I will be honest, I looked at those K machines and tried to justify the cost but if you love your coffee like I do it just would not be cost effective, not to mention the best part of my day is grinding my own beans.I couldn’t be happier with this percolator.I have followed the instructions to a T, made sure the tube was seated correctly, experimented with different amounts of water and coffee, still nothing changes.I ordered this percolator to replace my drip coffee maker because I felt the full richness of the coffee had been lost in the fast drip process.Coffee doesn’t compare. It has several parts to it which must be assembled to make the coffee. Was expecting the flavor to be more very easy to use.I was reading reviews on the drip coffee makers here on Amazon.Needing a quick portable way to make coffee I purchased the Presto percolator.I researched the issue and implemented the recommendations Presto has from using more coffee to putting ice in the water to cool it down before turning the unit on.Originally bought this looking for a coffee maker that I could totally control from a smart Plug, turning it on and off by my phone or Alexa.I really like my Cuisinart but felt my coffe could taste better.I have purchased nearly every high end coffee maker manufactured, anywhere. She had it for over 50 years and my cousin is still using it! This percolator may also be an heirloom one day.The replacement seems to be working as it should and the coffee is actually steaming hot now.-I use mini coffee maker filters, the regular kind.Sadly I was very disappointed.Right out of the box, it was fantastic.
