Disappointed is the only way I can fairly describe my experience. That being said, this Kitchenaid Model KCM1209OB is, in my opinion, the ultimate in drip style brewers.Never worked, we trouble shooted all the tips.My KitchenAid mixer has been a solid performer for years, so I expected quality from this brand! The water reservoir alone has numerous aggravations. It has 2 separate automatic start times, you can adjust the plate timer or heater, everything is easily customizable to individual preferences. This KitchenAid coffeemaker looks GREAT on my kitchen countertop.Box was damaged. He normally makes the coffee early in the morning as he gets up earliest to go to work. The only issue is that this is a big unit! I wish KitchenAid made this exact coffee maker in an 8 cup.And since we’re drinking a lot more coffee at home now during this shelter-in-place time, that alone is reason for 5 stars.Makes a great pot of coffee.I have this next to my microwave where space is limited. Have had the coffee maker about a month and so far I really like it! Makes great coffee, easy to use , and seems solid and well made.) I’m adding this coffee maker to my list of favorites.Full water container occasionally leaking all over counter top. This coffee maker is large, more on par with coffee makers that have both a cup and pot option and takes up a lot of counter space. This makes a better cup of coffee than you do.
Big and somewhat bulky it is simple to set up and use.The basket is easy to remove and clean.I love that the water tank comes off and has a handle. Some of these reviews are wrong, BTW.I’ve primarily been using a Hario for great tasting pour-over but it’s been very time consuming to make. The only way to turn it back on is to refill the reservoir with water and start over.My old one is out and the KitchenAid is in.I had a $200 budget and decided with this one.The back water reservoir doesn’t always sit in properly, causing the coffee to not make, or leak water everywhere. Easy to set up and I like how it shows you the countdown for the hot Plate. In our kitchen we have cabinets above our countertops and it’s a tight fit because it’s so large.Brewed coffee is always the way to go for a coffee snob like me.ANd boy does it make fabulous coffee! Plus the hot plate can keep it super hot for hours, which is fantastic because I drink several cups throughout the morning and I like it to be just as hot as it was the second it finished brewing.– Multiple programmed times are useful for people with irregular schedules.Different brew styles, has a built in cleaning cycle, Two different preset brew timers.I’ve also had Chemex pour-over brewers, Bodum French presses, and Keurig and Nespresso systems. Its got 12 cup capacity. The system is very easy to prepare and also when finished easy to clean up.
It looks sharp and makes a good amount of coffee without taking up a lot of counter space.I love the sleek look and the mix of silver, gloss black, and clear make for a very striking unit that would look in almost all settings. It doesn’t have a ton of settings , which makes it incredibly easy to use.I was not disappointed.Best I have ever owned. We like the removable reservoir for the water because it’s so easy to fill, and there aren’t many coffee makers on the market where the reservoir is removable.I will keep you updated as I go but makes coffee great and the Kitchen Aid brand is top notch from my mixer and other kitchen utensils.Cleaning is also very simple. You can actually remove the water tank in this one for separate cleaning.
