My experience has been good except for: If top is not pushed down completely the coffee will not drain and will spill over.It used to produce a pot of coffee in about 5 to 6 minutes, but now only processes about half the water in the reservoir in 6 minutes and after that just sputters and bubbles very loudly while producing a lot of steam for another 10 minutes. Not only being too large for my use, it took up extra space on my counter because it was too tall to fit under the cabinets.Out of the box, I thought the product seemed of inferior materials.I had one of these coffee makers for a long time – at least 10 years – until it finally gave out.I love 2 elements in particular:1- the size: it is really small, fits in any space and takes very little counter space.Steel pot, no broken glass. This coffer maker makes fresh hot delicious coffee every time.I loved it and had absolutely no issues with it.I just bought the red one for fun.I wanted to avoid the costly coffee pods that a Keurig would use.Coffee comes out HOT and easy to clean.Given the daily use, I suppose the average life-span is okay. The set-up of preparing the coffeemaker is very minimally different than I had seen before, but easy to adapt to.Why so many? Because they work GREAT, but only for about 3 years of daily home use. This does.I paid at least $15 more dollars for the Cuisinart name to sit on my counter and at my age I should have known better. The step I was missing was to make sure all Coffee particles are out of the cone.Haven’t used it.Nothing to program, no fear that you’ll forget that it’s on and cause a fire, it just does the job.

If you do not seat it properly it will make a mess of your counters.I’m disappointed because Cusinart is supposedly one of the better units.1.I was thankful for the one that said, “don’t listen to the negative comments”.It fits perfectly into a small area in the kitchen and is not an eyesore.I plan to purchase another brand when this one dies or I give it away–whichever comes first.Get this If you’re looking for a coffee maker that:– is small with a small footprint– is fast and easy to use and clean– stops drip when you pull out the carafe– is simple– is pretty good quality– is budget friendly, under $35– makes pretty great tasting coffeeDon’t get this If you’re looking for a coffee maker that:– serves more than 2 12oz mugs– is large– has a timer– has a screen– is high-tech and has an endless list of features– keeps your coffee warm for hours– tells you when it’s done brewing– is made of the highest quality materials– costs more that $35– makes amazing tasting coffee I hope this helps.Just put a #2 cone filter in the basket, add in the desired amount of coffee and pour in the desired amount of water.Being a Cuisinart, I knew it should be better in design and build, so I took a chance.Top center on the carafe lid is a protruding knob.i only drink one big cup of coffee in the morning and i’m done. The caution is not deliberately displayed. However, it is undependable in its performance. The black seal around the metal carafe is not sealed properly, the coffee spills down the sides and handle while brewing or pouring. He had it for years before that. That actually got better over the next few days as I used it to make coffee. It is perfect for me, makes 4 cups.I don’t understand how they can call this a 4-cup coffeemaker, but maybe every maker measures cups this way.For the price I think there can be some features added. The pause feature is not obvious, but you just take the carafe off the warming plate and it stops for about 15 seconds.

I am of the opinion that morning coffee should offer no elaborate rituals, and complicated rubrics.Make sure the lid is snapped in place. It makes coffee alright. No improvement.I’ve made a fair number of modifications to mine to address the following issues: the carafe sucks big time, doesn’t empty all the way, has this strange snap-on lid, and can’t reasonably be used to measure water because it’s opaque; the little no-drip nozzle should really be called an inexorable drip nozzle; the basket handle always catches on the coffee filter when you’re taking it out.A few days ago, after it boiled over and created a huge mess on the counter – and I cleaned it up well, it refused to turn on.The hot plate on the first machine started to corrode and the paint started to scrape off. This is not a perfect coffee maker, but it makes approximately 3 cups in five minutes.I bought this because I am a single coffee drinker and I wanted something smaller to make a cup of coffee in the mornings.Power switch is essentially dead.Perfect.It is a better quality than the coffee mate, seems to hold up longer and to my delight it allows for pouring with no spilling.I gave it 4/5 stars, because it’s not programmable.Ordered a second one for our side-by-side caffeine and de-caff morning brews. The lid on the pot comes off from the handle side. The coffee tastes fantastic & the stainless carafe is a nice change from the thin glass ones. She has one at home and she loves it.They are the worst.PROS This is simple, and I don’t like fussing with grounds to clean so like the paper filter I can pitch out.It has no timer, it keeps coffee warm for only a half hour.
