However, then the main filter ripped while cleaning because the plastic frame had sharp edges and this three filter system doesn’t work that well.I never know if I am going to end up with a batch of coffee or a huge mess to clean. However, the filter blew out recently and I can’t seem to find a replacement anywhere. It is the size of a large regular coffee maker or even a bit larger. This is less than 2 months old and I cannot return or exchange for a new unit.Threw away money on bitter, nasty coffee. The speed of this cold brewer is great, but it comes with too many issues and one health concern that makes me unable to recommend it.We’ve had such a heatwave in the past month. The coffee was delicious and easy to make. The quality of this item is very poor. However, I am concerned with the longevity of it.To replace that, it costs 35 dollars .The idea of being able to make a batch of “bold” cold brew in 45 minutes convinced me to buy it.So, we decided to get this cold brew system so he doesn’t have to deal with cooling it down all the time with ice, plus it’s summer. So I bought this automatic cold brew machine, and I love it.Even for speed, it’s not worth it.I’m not a fan of hot coffee but I do like cold brew and this machine cuts the time it takes to make cold brew to 40 minutes or so vs 24 hours with the jar method. And most of the cold brew coffees out there have this very acidy metal taste like your sucking on a mouthful of nickels .I must say it does just what it says it does, a great cup of cold brew in a reasonable amount of time. After dumping the filter basket in the Trash, Only way to really clean the filter is under running water in the sink.

secondary comlaint is again about the “triple filters”, they’re all the same fineness so outside of the basket they’re uselessmain tip is that to deal with mud is I’ll put a traditional paper filter in the carafe’s filter and it seems to handle it well.I followed the instructions and soaked with hot soapy water to remove the oils left by the beans, but the only way for it to work correctly is if you run two complete cycles.Flimsiest piece of glass I have ever seen.Fast, about 25-30 min.So far I’m very happy with the speed and the flavor. The negative: The reusable filter makes this unit a bit difficult to clean. Its noisy.Just wash the filters and use the directions as described and you’ll have no problems at all.The bold flavor says 45 minutes to make but I usually am doing something so it never feels like it takes that long.It has only been a week, but we haven’t had any issues yet.Still provides a great, smooth, cold brew. That being said it does make pretty good cold brew in 45 minutes so, at the end of the day, can’t really complain. While cleaning it the other day I noticed that the filter basket has a tear in the side so we can’t use it anymore. It takes all the bitterness out leaving a smooth, cold finish with little to no hassle. It is a chore to make so I don’t make it as often as I would like.Would have given it 5 stars if it still worked. It took me a bit to find the right combination of coffee texture, amount of grounds, and amount of water to get my “make your hair stand up” coffee, but now I have a reliable source. The taste was overpowering and excessively bitter.

It makes good cold brew but is loud and tedious to use and clean.Starting warranty process, will update as it goes.Only negative I have is the carafe is a little large to store in the fridge, I decant into a tall narrow one that takes less space in a smaller fridge. Even though I brew on strong and add a couple extra scoops it still comes out weak.Dishwasher safe, but cleans manually okay.Taste has been great so far.She makes a couple of batches on Sunday and fills a large pitcher, this gets her mostly through the week of morning coffees. It takes a little long if you want bold. They were very nice and replaced it for me but after about the same time frame as the first one started to crap out my new one ran into the same problems.Still can’t seem to find a replacement online so this is useless to us now unless we want coffee grounds in our coffee Trying it out for the first time today and it’s so smooth compared to other cold brews I’ve tried at home![/review6]<!– .Multiple people I know have one version or another, and let me say how much I love that I can have it in 45 min or less.Only complaint is this has been the second unit received with some degree of damage.Easy to put together. The filter broke on it the second time he used it and now he can’t use it.
