It held up well.It overflows often if making more than 7 cups..The fact that it really does keep the coffee hot in the carafe for many hours is ideal!! We just replaced our old Capresso coffee maker with this newer model. The top plastic part of the carafe is attached to the stainless steel part of the carafe with a gasket in between. However, over time it had more and more problems and now, after barely 2 years of use I have to replace it.It makes good coffee and keep it warm for hours.$27 to replace and no other help form customer service..The thermal carafe keeps coffee drinkable temperature hot without that burnt taste you get from a glass carafe.Almost 15 minutes to brew, supposedly double the time.So much better than my previous coffee maker however, it started to rust.Less than a year later started taking longer to brew and appeared to struggle to complete brewing despite careful maintenance and cleaning. As other reviews have stated, we also have to microwave coffee, especially after the first cup, which makes the coffee taste differently. The carafe cover doesn’t line up and causes a leaky mess.and Capresso wanted $10 more for replacement than on Amazon and would have had to send old one back.My boss told me to order a new coffee maker for work because the Bunn we have tends to leak all over and you can’t stop it to pour a cup midstream. Our old one had the same issue – leaking out of the bottom all over the counter and in a drawer and floor. It worked well, but even with maintenance cleaning, it took longer and longer to brew a full pot….
And I personally found that the manual pictures, did not necessarily match up with the "prep steps" – but so far we’re very happy.I WAS WRONG! Gasket in water reservoir failed within two weeks–leaking/dripping after being filled.I specifically purchased this product because the water tank was removable so it can easily be washed.I’ve had it for 3 months love it every morning. This model, of which we bought two, both have performed miserably. But is leaking and not turning on.Unfortunately, as soon as I had my first cup – I had to microwave it to get it hot.I loved that machine so much, we almost had to have a burial for it.I’m disappointed because the clock setting does not work.It is also elegant and sleek looking on the counter.i have tried other brands and it is a waste of money. Looks like Capresso has done some cost cutting which has resulted in leaking water from within the unit during brewing. It’s easy to clean, the pot hold the temp hot for at least 2 hours…BTW I and I do mean clumsy me broke a piece off the machine… I called to get a price to replace the part… Capresso’s customer service was excellent! I had the part in a couple of days and they did not charge me for it.The trouble is that the carafe doesn’t keep it hot for very long.Saw no reason to go with any other brand.K.It’s terrible if you try to set it overnight you will find a pool of water on the counter and nothing in the tank.I’ve been replacing my beautiful and very expensive Braun K600 with a used one for another $100.
While this new model does look nice and while pouring coffee doesn’t leak as much as the previous version the container is definitely not as hot as the older versions… I have had 2 Capresso coffee makers before this. Only lasted 1 year before it started losing the ability to brew coffee at a hot temperature and now the coffee must be microwaved after just being brewed.I will not buy this brand again. It smelled like burnt plastic and never worked from the beginning.5 stars was an option. It went out with the garbage last week.I also really like the fact that the reservoir comes off making it easy to clean.Pot does not brew a good hot cup of coffee.Very cheaply made. What got me to buy this model were the statements that the water heater is encased in stainless steel so that my coffee water is not exposed to aluminum, it has a 1200W heater so it makes hot coffee, and what some of the other reviewers had to say.Looks great but poorly designed and made. You need to be a precision pourer! The quality of the coffee brew is superb.I’ve used several other brands over the years, and this is my third Capresso.
