On the left is the Bunn I bought in ’07 and the right is the one I just got 12/18 and only got a new one bc after a decade it started to leak.Given the very hard water where I live, it requires a good cleaning about every 3-4 months.I like that this machine seems to have good longevity. This product meets all three of those requirements, with the speed-brew feature a major bonus.S.It worked once, then back to -2 cups when brewing. From the very first time I filled it water kept coming out of the holes that drain Any water that didn’t make it to tank.It has no timers, no clocks…no bells and whistles. This man knows his coffee, and even more he knows his coffee makers, like the back of his hand.I use the Bunn filters and I still ordered the free flow restictor.Brew speed is spectacular.NOPE! Set it up and filled with water as per directions. It is usually the best.Seriously if the thing broke today, I’d pay for same day delivery, instant replacement. However, my parents have owned bun for 30+ years and never had those problems so I leaned on that.Mine is a major name not a cheap one. This one IS made in the USA.I love coffee and drink 2-3 sometimes more in a day.No need to wait 10 – 15 minutes for a pot to brew, but only about 3 minutes. My coffee pot is on from morning until night time.

I’ve had several over the years and needed to replace my Mr.Makes excellent and quick coffee.Food is fuel, but coffee…well that is the nectar of the gods and it is hard to get it right, especially for groups. It is working perfectly for us.I like the fact that I don’t have the clean up labor I had with Cuisinart any more.1.Good price and worth in the long run.The carafe cup marks are only on one side instead of both sides and for me it’s the wrong side.Coffee in 3 minutes? Sign me up.you must dig a hole in the coffee down so the filter is showing or it will make a mess.In spite of the newly designed craft lid that appears to have attempted to address the dribble/spill issue…it does not work and did not solve the problem.Pour spout is flatter and the cover is now hinged to the handle.I was tired of lukewarm coffee, but disappointed this one while hotter, no where close to 190 degree temp “original” description had.I had no issues with the “smell” that some have reported.Prior to purchasing a Bunn, we were replacing coffee makers about every 6 months. Also, if coffee is added to the basket higher than the bottom line and regular coffee filters are used, you risk getting grinds in the decanter. Finally, a machine that prepares genuinely hot coffee.Unless you wait for the water to practically evaporate before you can pour yourself a glass.I bought my in-laws one and they immediately put their fancy $150 pot away.No waiting.

I thought I had fixed it with a seat washer kit as I had seen in many reviews for Bunn but now it just comes running out even if it’s not on.I’m sure it’s attributed to the heat of the water coming from the pre-warmed tank and the spray head.Coffee started leaking, I decided to buy a Bunn home unit.Something about the fast 3 min brew cycle makes your coffee taste better than the old Mr Coffee types of brewers. She had her other Bunn, which was almost identical to this for 10 plus years. It is a good coffee pot for people who drink coffee all day and want it quickly.& that the coffee temp is suprer hot – after a few times, however, I found myself cleaning spilled coffee grounds and water all over my counter and floor – wasted coffee that I roast and grind myself. You have to practically turn it upside down to get out the last cup or 2.It drips so quickly, but has such an amazing flavor despite the fast drip. But — We couldn’t live with the burning plastic smell.I’ve owned Bunn-O-Matic coffee makers since the ’80s and this one probably would’ve caught fire had I left it on for one more day.Needs special filters or be sure to buy the basket.Just as I would expect. It was a very unsettling time, but we survived.Coffee unit, but I’m having problem getting the proper yield. My main reason for getting this was for the stainless steel water tank, as opposed to the usual plastic ones common at this price. If you put the full ten, water and grounds are all over everything. Also using the normal amount of coffee in the basket coffee overflows over the basket when we make coffee.Supposed to be a quick brew, but takes just as long as my Mr Coffee did.We do not use the heater plate, put coffee in a carafe instead to keep it warm[/review6]<!– .
